May is upon us and the weather is getting a little warmer...It won't be long before we can consistantly sit out in the back yard, porch or park and grill out.  There will be a lot of outdoor concerts this year, not only Uptown Friday Nights but Hiawatha will have concerts in Guthrie Park and Marion By Moonlight will be coming up soon too. There are also orchestral concerts in the different area parks.  If you know of any concerts that we don't have on  our calendar, please drop us an email.

Also, tune into the Mix, 96.5 FM on friday night from 5 - 6pm for some LIVE music on the radio...Last week Funk 101 funked up the airwaves and this week the Cedar Island Band will be playing... It's a good warm up for the Jaycee's Uptown Friday Nights which will start May 25th with Swing Crew in Green Square Park, Downtown Cedar Rapids.  For more information about Uptown Friday Nights Concerts, please visit www.uptownfridaynights.com

This week kicks off the Uptown Friday Nights Concert Series in Green Square Park.  For many years this has signified the beginning of summer for many of us in Cedar Rapids and the surrounding area.  Chrome Horse will also have an outdoor Concert Series starting on June 8th.  Also Hiawatha and Marion will be having concerts in the park starting soon as well.
